To My Mom

When I ushered in this round ball

She was the first gift of my life's hall

I don't want to give a harangue on mother's day

But thank you I wanna say

For all those days which on me you have spent

For the hugs and kisses through which your love you have sent

For the nights that you haven't slept

As I was ill

For the hand which on my back you kept

Saying " Beta you can and you will"

For every glass of water that you gave me

When I was ensconced on the couch and was just free

For every fruit that you peeled off for me

THANK YOU MOM

When thousands of alarm clocks were no more of use

You were there battling with my sleep to switch on my fuse

THANKS MOM ....

For taking care even of my socks

For listening my lame talks

For taking me into your arms

For protecting from all the harms

For being my first teacher

For being my best teacher

I admire you as I reckon that

You cooked the relishing dishes

For which we all fought like fishes

When we asked for "Thoda aur"

You gave us much more

But then in your plate resided the casual meal

And the relishing dish you didn't even feel

I wanna buy a limo for you

I don't know whether this would ever come true

But yes today I gift you your world

I gift you myself

A SPECIAL THANKS

For keeping me for nine months in your womb

For bearing the unbearable pain

For bringing into this world your little insane

For accepting me as I am

I know I am stubborn, obstreperous and hard to handle

But nothing can be done as God has given you only this candle

Your replica I am people say

But I know I am like that play

Which you have molded into a human

So of course MA I LOVE YOU

And sorry as I know I have hurt you

There is myraid more to say

But I know you know it

For you know my heart's way
