To You, Old Friend.

The pain you caused me,
Are now my greatest lessons.
The scar you left me,
Reminds me of why I fight harder.

The tears I have shed,
Are now my strengths.
The fear you dawned in me,
Reminds me why I should be stronger.

You have broken my trust,
Broke me as a person too,
I couldn't let you have this effect in me though,
So I decided I had to fight my way through.

Thank you my friend for all of this,
I never regret that I held you close to my heart.
But with this, I shall say my last goodbye,
For this is the end of your part in mine.

I will look back on this and smile so true,
Feeling proud I didn't give up because of you,
Greater things are happening to me.
And I will continue to live better without you in it.
