Mousetronaut by Astronaut Mark Kelly

This is such a cute adventure story from front to back. This book is about a mouse that went into space. It was written by a real astronaut, which my kids thought was the coolest thing ever. Meteor, the mouse, is so cute in Payne's pictures, and his adventure is a lot of fun. Little space fans will be on the edge of their seats cheering for Meteor and his crew. The story has just enough facts about space travel to make it interesting and just enough tension to make it exciting.

Maria Dek Book A Walk in the Forest

This book takes you through the forest with a child as they explore, discover, and learn about the big world among the trees. This is a less exciting kind of adventure. It is full of soft watercolors and poetic language.

Baby Dragon, Baby Dragon! by Melissa Marr

Baby Dragon is that fun friend with a plan or a good idea. The normal day of a little girl changes when she tries to keep up with Baby Dragon. Soon, this new friend will send her to new heights and help her see the world in ways she didn't know were possible. I love this book's pictures and the idea of going on an adventure with friends. Both the words and the pictures have a sense of movement that makes you feel excited.

Sally's Great Balloon Adventure by Stephen Huneck

All of the books in this series are great, but this one is the most exciting. In this picture book, Sally, the sweet dog, has a big adventure when she gets stuck in a hot air balloon. Don't worry. In the end, she'll be fine.

Scarredy Squirrel by Melanie Watt

We have read the Scarredy Squirrel picture books because my twins can't get enough of him. Because they are about a squirrel, these books are in some ways the opposite of adventure stories. Afraid of everything. Even so, he always finds a way to have an adventure, even if it's just a short trip outside his tree.

Tunnels to Tomorrow

A scary thrill that wants to eat the hearts of the weak. So, fear crept into every corner and the hearts of the good people. The book "Tunnels to Tomorrow" is about trauma and fear. The excitement of reading it will make you wonder if that fear does exist in the unknown world. Explore Thomas Lamia's mind and find out all the secrets it holds.
