Top Destinations To Go in Darjeeling Pin Code

Darjeeling is a small, hilly town, but many attractions there can be reached by walking only a short distance. However, larger than the metropolis, Darjeeling district has only 3,000 square kilometers. You can visit Kurseong and Kalimpong, two more hill stations that are also quite lovely and endearing, in addition to the many sites to see in the Darjeeling pin code and the numerous attractions in the surrounding area. Some of the top tourist attractions in Darjeeling have been covered in this article.

Tiger Hill

Tiger Hill, which is 2,590 m above sea level and the highest point in Darjeeling, is about 11 kilometers from the town of Darjeeling. Tiger Hill is merely another viewpoint throughout the day, and there will be few tourists there. However, in the early hours of the day, the area is crowded with people and cars waiting for the sun to rise. Because of its breathtaking sunrise views of the Kanchenjunga and other eastern Himalayan ranges, Tiger Hill has gained worldwide fame.

Batasia Loop and War Memorial

One of the main attractions of your Darjeeling tour is Batasia Loop, which is situated on Hill Cart Road and about 5 kilometers from Darjeeling town. Just after Ghum, the Darjeeling toy train makes a 360-degree turn at the enormous railway loop known as the Batasia Loop. From here, you can see the entire terrain, as well as the Kanchenjunga ranges in its entirety. At Batasia Loop, there is a well-kept eco-garden with appropriate seating from which you can enjoy stunning views.

Darjeeling Mall or Chowrasta

The most active area in the entire town is the Darjeeling Mall, also known as Chowrasta, which is located in the center of Darjeeling. The Mall is a level area turned into a pedestrian-only area; vehicles are not permitted there. There are places to sit and enjoy a steaming hot cup of Darjeeling tea all along the Mall. The Mall area is home to many stores, including tea bars, curio shops, bookstores, and more. You can take a stroll across the Mall or relax on the seat and let Darjeeling come to life in front of you. A predetermined price for a horseback ride around the Mall is also offered.

Rock Garden and Ganga Maya Park

Two lovely parks, Ganga Maya Park and The Rock Garden are situated next to one another. The Rock Garden is a terraced garden cut through the rock, with seating created in between. It is situated about 10 km from Darjeeling town. The cascading waterfall that cascades down the rocks is the main draw in this area. The Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council established the Rock Garden, also known as the Barbotey Rock Garden, to promote tourism in Darjeeling.

About 3 km from Rock Garden, Ganga Maya Park is larger and has a lovely flower garden and waterfalls. The park has a small lake where visitors can go boating.
