deborah the 3rd article in the collection on the "miracle" and the "brain," we will carry kindness and unkindness into the discussion about specialness. In A Class in Miracles (ACIM), kindness is related to humility and learning and unkindness is with arrogance and specialness. The miracle-minded clearly choose humility, understanding and kindness meaning they will eventually learn to forgive all specialness which is what maintains the separation from God. Opinion in divorce pertains to every one who's the One Child perceiving Himself as split and various fragments. All unkindness stems from the anxiety in your brain once we repress our fear and shame rather than flexible our specialness desires. We responsibility and task it onto others who are really a part of people in reality.
You will find two publications by Kenneth Wapnick on, "The Therapeutic Power of Kindness." Size 1 is on, "Releasing Judgment" and Volume 2 on, "Flexible Our Limitations." I think, these must be expected reading and continuing study proper who's a serious Class student. The next passage says it all:
Once you reserve the outstanding metaphysics of A Course in Miracles and their sophisticated psychological ideas, the Program could possibly be pared down to one easy a course in miracles videos : Be kind. If you are perhaps not kind, then not merely are you not training the Program, there's number way you may also begin to understand it. Irrespective of how brilliant your comprehension of their metaphysics might be, if you are maybe not being sort toward someone else, you are maybe not performing what that Program is wondering (The Healing Energy of Kindness, Vol.1: Issuing Judgment by Kenneth Wapnick, p. 10, underline mine).
This inability to truly training A Course in Miracles' sort maxims of forgiveness which they study, and sometimes even show, has perhaps been probably the most critical failing among their students. That book's sequel, "Several Decide to Listen," examines how pupils frequently hide their thought process of specialness under the guise of spiritual counseling or friendship. The lack of simple kindness is, unfortuitously, beautiful to any or all except the Program student creating the spiritual pronouncements (The Concept Of A Program in Wonders: All Are Named, p. 306).
The non-dualistic indicating of kindness cannot be understood here within the experience of dualism provided that specialness is continually opted for since the pride originates from an unkind thought against God and Heaven. Our unwillingness to acknowledge this concerning the pride, and what all that thought program is able of accomplishing, is something which prevents our development with the Course. We ought to be prepared to go through the ego with the Sacred Spirit - the real Instructor - and take that darkness to Him for forgiveness. Nothing can be hidden and that's right from the Course.
In his publications on kindness, Mr. Wapnick also talks about the foundation of a person's unkind conduct is the exact same fear (and repressed guilt) that is in our personal brain and that's what unites us. We also provide exactly the same right-mind and the exact same capacity to decide on between them. Picking to be kind does not produce us different or greater; fairly it means we are willing to practice the "kind principles" of the Course so that people can learn to know everything it is teaching. It's only a question of priority.
He continues on to state that in learning how to be sort towards the others, we're exercising being kind toward ourselves because, "you and your brother are one. They are an integral part of you. You're not different." This moves directly to the heart of the ego's thought program where the thought of big difference is how a ego began - Lord and His Daughter were split and various - and undoes it. Even the slightest touch of specialness may be the ego. What he is saying becomes clear if you really study and training the type forgiveness of the Program!
