Is your child tech-savvy? Does your little one’s idea of fun involve tinkering with gadgets and other digital tools? Does your child want to know more about online and digital applications? There’s an educational grant that seems perfect for your little one.
With the Hideki Yukawa Global Skills scholarship for students, your family can get financial help to help your child continue with his or her studies. It’s an excellent opportunity to get the funds needed to cover those schooling expenses. The global pandemic has made things difficult this year, with many businesses closing down and employees out of a job. A scholarship can go a long way to help your family. It also offers your child the opportunity to invest further in him or herself, as it offers your little one a ton of chances that s/he can use to learn more about the digital space.
With continued training, your child can improve and gain skills enough to get him or her into college courses s/he wants. This can also provide your child with a solid enough foundation that s/he needs for skills that could help your little one not just in college but also when your child applies for work after graduation. Before all this can happen, though, your child will need to get the grant. Here’s what you need to know about the curricula of students who can apply for the scholarship.
Curricula of Students
Those under CBSE, CLSP, IB PYP, IBDP, and IGCSE are all welcome to send their applications to the scholarship program. If your child is under any of these curricula, then s/he can start taking steps to fill out that application form for the grant. If your child isn’t under any of the following educational programmes, you’ll need to reconsider.
· Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
· Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme (CLSP)
· International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP)
· International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)
· Cambridge’s International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)
Choosing a Curricula
If you still have time to prepare for the scholarship or transfer to a school, you’ll need to figure out which curriculum is right for your child. As a parent, you want to make sure your child has the best of everything and that includes choosing a curriculum that fully engages your child’s talents, aids the development of his and her skills as well, and encourages your child’s interests. Also, it’s important to consider the academic challenges of the curriculum. If your child is academically gifted, it’s essential that you pick a curriculum that won’t bore your little one and instead, will address his or her educational needs.
The 9GEMS Framework
At the core of the GIIS teaching methodology is the 9GEMS framework. The well-rounded approach focuses on encouraging the following: personal development, academic excellence, sports excellence, visual and performing arts, entrepreneurship and leadership, innovation and creativity, universal values and ethics, community and care, and skill development.
This framework is reflected in their scholarship programs too. The school offers educational grants that aren’t just given over on the basis of academic achievements but also on the merit of exceptional talent. That’s where the Hideyuki Yukawa Global Skills scholarship comes in. If your child has talent in digital apps and applications, this might provide the opportunity to let your child gain further training and development in the field.
Benefits of the Programme
Participation in the programme will also help your little one get access to programs and resources as well as facilities that aid his or her learning experience. With the scholarship, your child has the help s/he needs to perform well consistently and to meet high standards and expectations that will allow him or her to grow up and gain experience in the field that s/he wants to be a part of. The program also opens opportunities for collaborative projects and interactions that mean make it possible for the kids to exchange ideas and learn from each other. The camaraderie and maybe even slight competition can provide for a richer learning experience and help them grow and learn from each other.
Application Tips and Reminders
If your child is a good fit for the program, then help your little one apply for the grant. Make it easier for your child to track deadlines. Teach him or her about creating a calendar or timeline of deadlines. You’ll want to put up a calendar as well to help your child remember important dates for the application. Start preparing for the submission as early as possible and help your child by going over the portfolio or kit for mistakes or errors.
Provide positive feedback so your little one can also improve the personal statement essay. Point out areas that could use a bit of revision while also going over passages that made an emotional impact on you.
