With the amazing nutritious value and the better tastes, you can enjoy with grass-fed beef, there is absolutely no reason for you to not try it. But there is one thing that might be pulling you back on it, the higher prices.
Many people consider grass-fed beef to be extremely costly and feel that why go for it when they can get the other conventional meats at a much lower price, and what major difference would it make after all? But the fact is, it does make a difference and it is this difference that can also justify the higher prices of the grass-fed meats.
As opposed to the grain fed meat that is obtained from animals raised by feeding grains and fodder and other growth hormones, grass-fed meats are 100% natural. The animals from which grass-fed meat are derived are kept on a natural diet of grass and shrubs in their surroundings. They are also never confined to cells and stables where they have a limited moving space. Instead, they are left in open fields to graze the pastures and grasslands. This makes them move around and make sure that their meat is leaner and has a better texture. Also, since they are more naturally raised, their meat have a much higher nutritional value in comparison to the grain-fed meats. The grass-fed meats are loaded with nutrients such as omega 3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid, vitamin E, and other essential minerals. This makes them a much healthier option. Also, since the animals have a moving ground, unlike the grain-fed animals, they do not accumulate fats, so the meat has lesser amount of saturated fats and thus fewer calories. So, here is all the difference.
However, due to this natural raising process followed for the meat production, the time to market for the grass-fed meats is slightly higher. In fact, it takes just the double time to produce grass-fed meats than it takes to produce the grain-fed meats. This is because with the natural growth, it takes time for the animals to get to the considerable size for the slaughter. Due to this higher time to market, it is difficult to produce these meats, and the slower production simply means slower sales. So, basically, the need is to cover the production costs so that the ranchers and farmers can keep up with the steady production of the grass-fed meats.
As these production costs need to be covered, the price for grass-fed meats go to the higher end. However, when you can see such amazing benefits with the meat, the higher price just seems to be justified. Grain fed meats are so not just the same.
Grass-fed meats are healthier and more nutritious. Moreover, the natural growth process followed make the meats taste more natural and earthy. So, how does a higher price matter, when you can get higher benefits? Grass Fed Beef benefits your health tremendously. So, go for it, without counting in the slightly higher prices. It will really be worth it.
