When is it, that you feel most alive?
Do you ever get that heart-pounding moment?

Is it when all that is important to you,
Crumble into shattered pieces?

Or when you realize that you have become,
The very kind of person you hated most?

What if it's when you destroy something you love?
If so, you'd know how sick in the head you are.

Maybe, it's when you stand face to face,
With your ethereal, predestined reaper.

Or is it as simple as when you realize that,
You'll be doing finally what you desired most?

When is it? Can you tell me?
When do you get that rush of life within?

So I can feel the reality I'm sadly a part of.
