Inside this darkened room,
where I share this night - to whom?
I lay on the bed, supined and careless.
T'was great nor worst, t'was more or less.
The hand could not move.
So, I was inside this darkened room.
And everyone else thinks,
"What am I doin' there?"
As much as I would love to prattle,
but these intromissions settle,
I feel - I was like a boiling kettle.
My lips were sealed with a kiss!
But, do not take it amiss.
"What am I doin' there?"
There, inside the darkened room
It was the day I lost the dignity,
And it was more than the loss of virginity.
"What am I doin' there?"
Who knows? What happened,
Inside the darkened room.
The eyes were misty.
It smelled whiskey.
And - and demons were husky!
I was bitten by ticks.
I was paralyzed.
And the lightning flicks!
Thereafter, a thunder followed.
"What am I doin' there?"
Cannot I tell,
It was a trap and - and I fell.
