Why do we keep going back to the past?
Why do we keep revisiting memories?
Why do we return to old, abandoned places?
Why can't we just forget the past?
Why can't ee just make new memories?
Why can't we just find another place to stay in?
Well, maybe because we don't really want to.
Maybe because we can't really accept what happened yet.
Maybe because we couldn't bear the thought that it could have been different.
Maybe because we still want to be "there".
Or maybe because it's the past that keeps on haunting us.
Maybe it's the way the memories still give us comfort.
Maybe it's the feeling old places bring us that makes us revisit at times.
But still we know it's not supposed to be like that.
We know we must move on.
We know we must accept what happened and that it can't be changed anymore.
We know there's still more to life than the past memories.
We know we could still find places that would give us the feeling that we're home.
And when we do achieve those,
We would realize that there are better things waiting for us.
We would understand that everything happens for a reason.
And we would figure out that anything that comes isn't always meant to stay.
