Why you should make your supplement capsules on your own

Why fill capsules yourself?

For most, homemade capsules are about two things: avoiding fillers and/or saving money.

Because ready-made supplements have two disadvantages:

1. they are disproportionately expensive

2. you don't know exactly what's in them (or you just want to avoid certain fillers)

You can save a lot of money

If you haven't looked into capsule fillers yet, you may not know what immense margins manufacturers take for putting herbs and minerals into capsule form.

If you compare, for example, magnesium as a powder and as a supplement, you will see that the price per kilo differs considerably. In our example even by a factor of 10!

The following example on the left shows that ready-to-use supplements are often much more expensive per kilo than the actual content.

But why is this so? There are two main reasons. The powder in pure form is not as "sexy" as the capsules. Manufacturers spend a lot of money on marketing the finished capsules.

The pure raw materials, on the other hand, are usually presented in a rather sober and matter-of-fact way. They are not fancy lifestyle products and often the packaging is not nearly as appealing.

A CAPSLR® saves not only money but also time and nerves

When I first realized how much money I was spending unnecessarily on fancy packaging, I knew immediately that I wanted to change that in the future. But trying to just swallow the powders plain in the future showed me that taking them as capsules has its advantages.

Vegan empty capsules were quickly purchased, but filling the capsules by hand proved difficult, time-consuming, and left a huge mess of spilled powders.

Filling capsules yourself saves money, but only with a capsule filler you also save time and nerves.

You avoid unhealthy fillers and determine the exact content yourself.

Another advantage of self-filled capsules is that you know exactly what is really inside. Maybe you need a combination that no manufacturer fills. Or you really want to be sure that there are no fillers or other impurities. In both cases, you also benefit from filling empty capsules yourself.

What do I need to make my own capsules?

The good news right from the start: With our starter bundle you already have everything you need to get started!

In fact, our CAPSLR® capsule filler makes it very easy for you to make your own capsules. In the beginning, the different plates and parts may look a bit complicated. But after the first few uses, you'll get the hang of it and the operation will run like clockwork - we promise!

In addition to the capsule filler itself, our bundle also includes 1000 empty capsules to fill yourself. Since our capsule filler fills 100 empty capsules per run, you can make a total of ten fillings of 100 capsules each with the starter pack.

That's quite a lot, and depending on your consumption, these first 1000 empty capsules may last for quite a while. If you still run out, you can easily reorder them in our online store.
