I see the grey sky as it covers our blue like a blanket
I see the lightning that approaches with it
And as I see, see the vast expanse of life
I think of the grass, slowly bending with the air
I think of all that it has to bear
And as I see the wind fill hollow tree trunks,
I think of rabbits, running to their little burrows
Tracks which people follow, I think of
Small bird claws, clawing at trees
Prepared to take flight, in such a windy night
I can see suitcases flying over people's heads
As the leaves over their expensive suits ascend
I think of all the motion,
Actions with such minute reactions
I see a surreal blare of light, so white, making me feel so right
And as I see workers covering their construction to save them from destruction
A thought jumps into the head, of human nature, why save the destructed? Even though now it's constructed.
These toddlers, with their muddy hands, reeking the soil out to make toys
I think of all the toys, I think of where humans have reached, collected so much to preach
And as I see the glittering drops descend
I see flying jackets and ties and people trying to save their files
I see legs running, I see upward, see a storm brimming
and I think, looking at the bending trees
How could this windy night be more dangerous than our midday breeze
You see, the sun can be pretty hot at times, but why can't we compare it to the moon tonight?
And as I see, I think of how I can't fathom thoughts
And I see the filling resorts, I see life in a frenzy
I feel the wind push me
And I feel that there's going to be no end to this storm
No, not this thunderstorm.
