Halloween might be done, but that doesn’t mean your kids are over it. If they’re still in a Halloween high, then help them make the most out of it. It won't be long anyway before Christmas Carols overtake the Halloween vibes soon enough. Here are wonderful ideas that you can try out with them.
Day of the Dead
There are plenty of tutorials on how to get this done, with detailed instructions and steps. Check them out. Just make sure you have the right painting materials with you. You’ll need white face paint to cover the entire face as a base. You can then color the area around the eyes with black. That will create the skeleton touch. Then paint flowers around the black areas. Keep going with the flowers until you’ve covered nearly every conceivable space on your child’s face. However, these many designs require time. You might need to skip this one if your child is still at the fidgety stage.
The Corpse Bride
The film is a Timburton classic. If you’ve always wanted to do someone’s face ala the Corpse Bride, now is your chance. First off, find the right shade of blue to cover your child’s entire face. Then paint white around the eyes. Next, draw a circle around the eye and put eyelashes around that. After, put a ring of blue around the eyelashes. Then place dots on the eyelid. When you’re done, the finished product should ideally look something close to the Corpse Bride. However, make sure you ask your kids about their Halloween face painting ideas that are fun too.
Voodoo Doll
This one isn’t altogether hard. All you need to do is paint the eyelids black. Then draw exaggerated, super big eyelashes in black. Then underneath the eyes, add black streaks as though the person cried and the result is runny black paint. Then draw a heart over the lips. Outline that heart with black paint and then add stitches around the heart. Then proceed to add a black line from the middle of the lips through the middle of your child’s cheek. Follow that same line but with red paint this time. Then draw several X marks over the line. Repeat this on the other cheek. That’s how simple it is to create a voodoo doll with a stitched smile.
Wonder Woman
Halloween doesn’t mean that all your children’s face paints should be scary characters. Try out a female hero this time for your little one. Draw a star on the forehead of your child with red paint. Then outline that with black. Next, draw Wonder Woman’s popular band around your child’s forehead with yellow paint. Outline that in black to accentuate the shape. Then paint over your child’s brows. Add a little lipstick and you have a mini Wonder Woman.
Puppet
Paint the eyebrows black first. They must be thick and a little bit pointed to create an evil vibe. Then paint the top lip red and the bottom lip red too. Paint the middle part in black for that creepy puppet smile.
