At some point in our lives we've all wondered How to be cool, and we all know at some level what cool looks like. Maybe you can’t express it in specific words – but one way or another our brain recognizes this so called “coolness”.
We can recognize a cool person when we see them, in my case, I would describe coolness as a sense of "comfortableness" in one owns skin, a way of interacting socially that seems very smooth and fun and a big display of social intuition.
I remember back in high school, I would sense a sort of invisible glass wall between me and the cool guys, it seemed almost impossible for me to be like them.
The cool funny guy that everyone wanted to talk to, that’s who I wanted to be. I just wanted to learn how to be cool.

There’s cool, calm and confident people, there’s cool funny outgoing people. So if you’re wondering “How do I change myself to become cooler?” them you’re probably coming at it from the wrong angle.
Becoming cool is becoming more comfortable in who you are:
So let’s go deeper into this, I'll share some of my personal story. I’m naturally an introverted person, except when I’m with close people then I won’t stop speaking my mind.
I used to think that the only way to become cool was to start talking non-stop like the other cool guys I knew, it is a very common trend that the more outgoing people are the “cooler” people – So basically that’s what I thought I had to do.
While it is indeed a good approach to learn to be more outgoing if you’re a shy guy, it is a totally wrong angle to think that you have to change yourself completely.
Oftentimes we think that we are not "cool" because something is wrong with us or our personality.
Learning how to be “cool” is all about setting your own standards, whatever you are, whatever you like, if you like it with full confidence, it WILL be cool.
