You, life a thief, came in and took everything
You made the whole out of me broken
But the parts of me that you’ve taken
Will remain imprinted on your covering
Your skin will smell of ink
The aroma of my words will linger
Inside your body, each letter will sink
Invading all of your systems forever
The next person that will kiss your lips
Shall find your tongue taste like poetry
A piece that you’ve taken from me
Including all the periods, commas and ellipses
You’ll have a hard time erasing all the marks
You’ll feel unclean and filthy, because it stinks
You’ll be hurting yourself brushing it away
Wishing you never took those for granted anyway
