You Don't Define Me.

You don't define me,
My physical attributes doesn't come close to what I am.
I maybe fat or small or dark-skinned,
But I have a heart that is compassionate all the time.

You don't define me,
My mistakes is just a part of me.
I may have lied, played or hurt people,
But I have a soul who seeks to make things right and learn from mistakes.

You don't define me,
My beliefs doesn't need to be changed if you don't agree with it.
It may be different from yours,
But I have a mind that knows respect and wouldn't force anyone with my beliefs.

You don't define me,
You may attack my being but you won't define me.
You don't define me,
Because I am going to continue to live being me.

You don't define me,
You may insult me but you won't define me.
Your words wouldnt control how I should live.
Moreso, how I should be.

You don't define me,
You may keep dragging me down but you won't define me.
You may keep trying but to it I won't be succumbing,
For I will work on being better and doing better because that's how I should be.

You don't define me.
You don't have the power to tell me what I should be.
I am me.
And I will be me in this world trying to tell me that I shouldn't be.

You don't define me, You won't define me,
You can't define me, I am not gonna please you.
So wall away because I won't be living my life the way you think I should be.
