When Google bought YouTube back in 2006, people didn't know what to expect. Now, however, it seems everyone is reaping the benefits of a combined service. YouTube's new 'Search Stories' is one of those collaborations, bringing together the best of both worlds.
Search Stories as an idea aren't anything new, in fact Search Stories have been around for a long time. They tell stories through Google searches, from results pages, images, maps, video and more found from a Google search. They are a great way of telling a story in the age of the internet, and there are countless examples of amazing and amusing search stories.
Up until now, however, they've been a little, well, home made. Most are low quality, with many either holding a camera up to the screen or using poor screen grab software. Thankfully, Google and YouTube have put together their own Search Stories Video Creator. Visit videocreator software
YouTube's Search Stories is a fun tool that allows you to easily create videos from Google searches. It allows you to enter six searches, and with each search it smoothly pans around the results. You can even pick what you want to search. You can perform a regular Google search, an image search, a map search, a news search or a blog, product or news search. The seventh search doesn't actually 'search', all it does is enter the text in the search query box, as a sort of tag line. You then have the option of adding pre-recorded music (which are actually quite good), and uploading directly to your YouTube account. The video lasts around 30 seconds, and is accompanied by a Google tag line at the end.
They are a great way to tell stories, and can be effective internet marketing tools for small businesses also.
