Chapter - 2

Are you Ready?

Almost morning, birds chirping, there's light outside and the sun is out. Everything is beautiful, even her snores; she finally slept and he's glad that she is finally resting. He jumped out from his bed, took bath and left for her place. He reached there at 6, the phone call was on, he can still hear her, he sits outside her door. He didn't want to interrupt her sound sleep. He waited there with all patience.

Time: 9 am he looked at his watch, she's still sleeping. From the past few hours he was thinking about last night, when she called and she was all in tears and asking only one question, these were the thoughts in his mind running again and again, finally he heard something. She's up, she opened the bottle and drank some water, he was listening through the phone, she looked at the phone and realized the call was still on.

She: There? Hello?

He: Mng sunshine, rise and shine.

She: You said you will be here, where are you?

He (knocks on the door): Open it, I am here.

She opens the door for him and finally disconnects the call. She hugged him as she saw him, her eyes filled with tears once again, she start sobbing.

He: Shhh, don't cry I am here.

She (in sobbing voice) : Will you marry me?

He: Let me make you some breakfast first. Go wash your face and brush your teeth, I'll make something to eat. I am starving, are you?

She (want to say something, but before she says, he interrupted her and said)

He: We will talk about it, that's why I am here for, but first you need to eat. You are not alone now, please will you eat first? For me?

She nodded her head and went to change.  He's no cook, all he can cook is Maggi and eggs, so he tried his level best and made Maggi and eggs. Once the breakfast was ready he screamed,

“Breakfast is ready madam, are you?”

 She came out and she looked more calm, they both had breakfast, she was crying in between, may be she's over thinking, but that's the matter of over thinking too, she's pregnant, what's she's going to do with the problem?  Yeah baby at the young age is a problem, right? They finished breakfast, he took the plates inside and came back. He looked at her and said,

 “Let’s talk”

She: Will you marry me?

He: Listen, tell me first are you ready to take this responsibility?

She: Which responsibility? There's a baby living inside me, what do you want? Should I kill the baby? Just because I am stupid? I can't murder the baby! (She start crying again)

He (walks near her, hugged her) : I am not saying this, don't take me wrong, we are just 20 years old. Neither you nor I know anything about having a baby!

She: I know, and I am sorry. I just don't know what to do. But one thing is sure I don't want to punish the baby for my stupidity.

He: Shhh, you are not stupid, you are a very sensible person, stop crying now. Answer few questions, how you are going to manage college with pregnancy? What are you going to say to your parents? Listen, I am not being harsh on you, but these are the things we need to figure out before taking any decision.

She (took deep breathe): I have a plan. Will you marry me? (She looked in his eyes with all the innocence)

He: Tell me first, are you ready to bring this baby in this world?

She: I am, are you ready to be the part of my problem?

He: You are not a problem, neither is this baby.

She: Answer me then, will you marry me now?
