I want to hold your hand,
As I fall deeper and deeper,
But you already let go,
To love another.
I want to hug you tight,
Your arms—my favorite place,
But she's already there,
In your warm embrace.
I want to paint your eyes,
Which was once filled with lies,
But her reflection is in your corneas,
Now all I could do is cry.
I want to run in your mind,
Even though it's a race,
But she's already at the finish line,
Won the first place.
I want to make you smile,
Wider than a mile,
When I saw you today,
She never failed to do the job.
I want to be inside your heart,
Become a part that keeps you alive,
But then this attempt tore me apart,
For her name was already echoing inside.
And this February 14,
I want you to be mine,
But she's already there,
Calling you "Valentine".
I met her in January and ever since then, everything reminded me of her.
