Have you ever layed down in your bed. It feels comfortable, everything seems to be alright, everything seems to be just fine except for the huge pain in your chest and the blurriness of your sight because of the tears cascading down your face from your eyes.
And then you asked yourself in a whisper between those sobs, "What if depression is not just a mental problem but a disease in disguise that's been hiding itself for years? "
Because if it is...
A lot of people will die before they could even sleep at night or before they can even start the day. Weeping and crying a river of misery in a very dark room, at the backseat, on the rooftop, in their bathtubs, under the shower, above their bed, below the sunshine, across the road, under the rain or even in front of their mirrors.
And their last words are:
"I didn't chose to be like this. "
"Why is everything falling apart? "
"I will never be happy. "
"At least I tried. "
"How to be enough.? "
"I didn't do anything but why..?
"It all started the day I was born. "
"I shouldn't have been born. "
"I was a mistake. "
"Moon , thank you for the accompany, I'll miss you. "
"Sorry, Mom. Dad. "
"Tomorrow at sunrise, I shall no longer be here. "
"Sleep well, sweet dreams, myself. "
"I can now rest."
"All I wanted is to feel loved. "
"I hate myself. "
"I'm losing it. "
"Goodbye, cruel world. "
Or
"Finally. It ended. "
Dying alone in a world full of happiness that doesn't includes them.
---
Imagine a world full of gravestones—where every city is a city of graveyard.
Would you sacrifice your life weeping at the death of your beloved while blabbering at yourself:
"Sorry, I failed to make you happy. "
"Sorry, I'm not enough."
"Sorry if it's too late. "
"Sorry if I can't make everything alright. "
Because when you say these things, it's like that person your weeping for inside the coffin, under the gravestone, is planting his or her disease inside of your soul and death will whisper into your ears, "You're next. "
What if depression is not just a mental problem but a disease in disguise that's been hiding itself for years?
