Step 3 - Give a New Name to the QuickBooks folder

1. Hold the Windows key + E on your keyboard to open the File Explorer.

2. In the search panel, paste this location - :\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks(year)\Components.

3. In the following window, look for the downloadqbXX ( XX is the version year) folder.

4. Click right on it and choose to Rename.

5. Add .OLD to the name of the file so that it looks like downloadqbXX.OLD.

6. Try to update the QuickBook application

1. Press and hold the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run window.

2. In the search box, type Control Panel.

3. Tap on the OK button.

4. In the next window, click on User Accounts.

5. Select the User Accounts (Classic View) option.

6. Press the “Change User Account Control Settings” button.

7. Click on the Yes button.

8. Now, you need to move the slider to “Never Notify” in order to turn off the UAC interruptions.

9. Hit the OK button.
