As time goes on and the days go by
When night takes over the vast sky
I'm left to wonder, what will she say
The thought of her answer takes up the day
As the seconds, minutes, and hours pass
I stand here by the growing grass
And wait for your answer, be it yes or a no
Right where I was, in the falling snow
As the ice melts, I'm still there
Wondering if you actually care
Contemplating if I should still wait
Then I go on in my current state
Summer has come, and yet no answer
I'll still wait, and hope for the better
So autumn arrives, and so does she
With the reply I've waited for so happily
