Your shoulders carry the memory of a love gone long ago
I pray your lips carry the promise of what could have been
I wish I could tell you that, forever, I've known you
I've met you in another skin, I've heard you with another voice
You are there, once more, but it's not you I've known
Another chance to set things right
A renewal, another trial
And the hope, that this time, I don't end up breaking you
That instead, my love would be enough to mend your brokenness
