Scary Nights

Stephen knew he would never sleep. The noises, those horrid sounds, would keep him awake...Stephen was laying on his bed in his room alone. It wasn't the first time he was scared of that horrible sound. He found that the noise was heard every midnight. Stephen complained about these horrible sound to his parents also but his parents ended up saying 'There's nothing like ghosts son. The reason you hear those voices is that you watch a lot of horror movies.' Stephen thought that his parent's view was pointless.

Another night..Stephen was laying on his bed, looking at the sky through his window when a face showed up in the window. He was scared and waited for the face to disappear.  Suddenly, tap, tap, tap. Was it branches of the nearby tree, or fingernails against the window? The tapping stopped in a minute. Stephen felt there was something wrong out there. He walked towards the door as he opened it. He took a look around as he found a person standing at the corner who was waving a hand towards him. Stephen found that it was a girl dressed in white who was asking him to follow her. He started walking towards the girl as they moved towards the deep forest. A dark and wide forest full of animal voices all around. Stephen was scared a bit but he never showed that up on his face. That girl took him towards a hut built in that forest where the girl asked Stephen to knock the door and he did what he was asked to. As the door opened he found out a lot of interesting stuff there. Chemicals placed on a table, some sort of inventions. It took Stephen not much time to realize that he was in a scientist's hut. He got to know that the scientist's name was Adam and he was working on robots for about an year now. Stephen asked Adam about the girl who brought her to the hut and her face had a lot of scratches. Adam replied that the girl was a robot and her face had scratches because of those branches which resulted in scratches on her face. Adam changed the female robot's face with a new one soon as Stephen asked that question. Stephen even asked why that robot was calling people towards your hut? Adam replied "I gave her the instructions to bring someone from the city who can help me out in testing all of my inventions. She found you and that's why she was asking you to follow her."

Stephen was no longer scared of the word 'ghost' as he realized that it was all imaginary stuffs that he created himself. He helped Adam with all his test as he went back to his home safe.

People often say 'There's no such thing as ghosts...' and Stephen realized that it was rightly said and his parents were right too.
