Summary:
Now as Jay was thinking about the last night, suddenly he finds himself in car going to office and receives call from boss asking him where he is. He checked his mobile , call from home at 11.56 pm. He thinks about the gal, visits bar, confirms name of bartender who replies in affirmative his name Avinash. He asks Avinash about the girl he was with last night, asks him to check washroom. However, Avinash replies him as if he doesn’t know her and him or as if Jay might not have visited the bar (because when he asked him he replied I don’t know about it).
It sounds strange as normally he would not have forgotten the girl or jay cause he interrupted them while they were getting close and informed them about the closing of bar and it was Monday so less people would have been there at the closing time and thus he should have remembered them. So, its possible Jay is simply dreaming or visualizing in his mind the whole scenario and has not visited the bar. However, he knows that bar and name of bartender as he might be regular to that bar or have visited it earlier or have been there at the bar that night, got drunk, reached home, and saw that girl in dream.
So, there is very less probability that this night would have been in real and not a dream or imaginary one of Jay.
While going to office he thought about last night if it was a dream. He reached office, occupied by the thought of last night and that gal. While going home, he decide to go to bar and wait for the gal. He went to the same bar, again asked bartender his name . he ordered beer. As he decided to leave he see the same girl. They get along instantly talking about the last night. He drops her home and asks her when they will meet again. She talks about destiny and then said something in Spanish which means sometimes its good to left things not said and then she disappears.
Jay, tired at work, decides to take a drink and visits a bar, asks bartender Avinash for drinks. While sipping his beer, in search of a company he finds a girl sitting on the side of the counter and starts conversation with her. He buys her beer and vodka, on inquiring about her name, she replies “Beer”. They hit the dance floor, gets cozy with each other. Bartender tells them they are closing. She went to the wash room while he decides to wait outside in his car for her.
From part 1 and part 2 , these things appear:
Jay – he visits bar regularly and knows name of bartender. On both the occasion, Jay visits bar alone and there is no one else who can vouch for the existence of gal in real. Even bar tender acted as if he didn’t saw her or ignorant about her and him being there last night. Also, strange thing is that bar tender is also available in the morning as early as 8.00 am. This might also raise doubt on the existence of the bar and bar tender himself.
Gal- she is surely mysterious or creation of his thought or a dream, as she neither talks about her real name even in her second meeting at bar nor she informs him when they will meet next time. No mention of her residence area, apartment, home, or should he drop till her door, raises doubt on her existence and happening of this even once again as its unusual.
Jay again wakes up in the morning confused whether the gal is real or just a dream. He decides to visit the spot where he dropped her after office. So, after office he reaches the spot and try to inquire about the gal but finds no one like her. He visits the bar once again confused, tired and asks for bear again asking name of bartender. While sipping bear he again asks whereabouts of the gal but Avinash again replies in negative as if he doesn’t know both of them. Now, this raises alarm in the head of Jay and he asks Avinash how he can forget such a beautiful lady who is visiting his bar since two nights. He tries to strike conversation with Avinash as so far he is the only person who is there at the bar even in day time and in both the nights. During this conversation, he bonds with the bartender and tell him about both the nights and gets shocked when he finds that bar tender does not know about any such gal. Jay requests Avinash to check for CCTV footage to which Avinash denies earlier but then intrigued by JAY’s story, he decides to see CCTV with him. Now, here comes another twist, CCTV is not working since last 1 week and no recording is available ! Jay decides to stay at bar sips his BEER pondering upon all these events and thinking about her words on destiny. Was she a dream?
Jay(to himself): I am getting mad, this beer is making me insane. God! Please help me out, I just can't take this anymore. This beer and her gosh is she imagination? Or she's real? My dear lord help me.
Bartender: Sir, do you need anything? Should I call a cab for you? You seems quite disturbed.
Jay( looks at him in annoyed manner): No thanks I am leaving, clear my bill.
Bartender: Sure sir.
Jay left the bar and reached his home, he called his boss informing that he's unwell and will not going to join office today. He take shower and rushed towards bed. Lying on bed seeing the fan, thinking about beer, her looks, her saying, what she actually mean by destiny? Was there a clue in it? He was about to fall sleep suddenly his phone start ringing. Unknown Number, he kept the phone down, it rings again. Again the same unknown number, he picked up.
Unknown Number: Jay? Am I talking with Jay?
Jay: yeah you are?
Unknown Number: Jay you are the man.
Jay: Beer? What the fuck. How you get my number? Where are you? Where you live? Gosh! You made me completely insane you know this.
Beer: cool down man. I find your visiting card in your car last night, that's why I said the whole destiny line. I was Lil busy that's why unable to gave you call.
Jay: who are you?
Beer: Can we meet?
Jay: what is your name?
Beer: can you pick me from where you left me last night?
Jay: Are you my imagination?
Beer: 7'o clock?
Jay: Alright!
Beer: see you Jay. Bye.
Phone call disconnects, Jay stares at the phone for a while, and then keeps the phone down and slept. Jay is in delima what is happening with him and why?
