The world was dark and still.. and so was my mind. For it was the endless, countless, pointless decisions , yet to be made, that were sucking out every ounce of breathe left from my being. There comes a time when you're so absorbed in your own thoughts .. that every passing moment is like a doorbell continuously ringing in your face, reminding you over & over .. "time's running out".
While the world was asleep & dreaming.. a storm was raising havoc inside my mind. Tick TOck Tick TOck... sometimes you wish you could just stop thinking. Just press PAUSE and have a timeout.
And then came the rain..
A sudden burst of life in the dead night, like a savior to the rescue. The wet earth, the sullen skies, the mad wind & the deafening intensity of the tempest. Blowing away the doubts and washing away the pain.. its miraculous how the storm outside can numb the one roaring in your mind.
And for a little while.. its just you and the rain.. lulling you to sleep.
