Angels on Earth

Until today my mind wandered,

With all its might in search of her.

Her smile was elixir to the heart,

That tore blanket of darkness apart,

She merrily welcomed the rain,

Wished to step on every terrain,

Unveiling the pestering hood,

Traversed fearless through the woods,

Even imperfections glittered on her,

And her presence boasted pride,

She was the rainbow,

On a dark, cloudy night,

A mighty, thundering storm,

That destroyed every spite,

A charm beyond imagination,

One pure compilation of divine.

Until rose the wave of shock,

For mystery held her causing havoc.

Every path she went,

Looked for her to vent,

Days turned passive,

And nights aggressive,

Lost was her new identity,

Rest hidden in serenity,

None cared to look for her,

For none knew she's lost in blue,

Even through the raging tempest,

My heart was determined to rescue,

Hither and thither it went with the wind,

Only to end up with zero cue,

Voidness drained the mind's strength,

Like a portrait that lost its hue.

At last the Universe ingloriously confessed,

That angels on earth are short-lived.
