Appreciation

Ex-boyfriends, not important. A bad grade, well shit happens but you will fix it. A fight with a loved one, fix that shit.

Your body and mind, treat them with all your power. Believe me, there is nothing more important than health. Like I said in a post before, not just physical health but also mental health. I think that people oversee mental health, because they think it's not that important. Well let me tell you one thing, it is VERY important. Let me clear one thing here, I don't have any mental health problems but as a social worker in training, I see clients with a burn-out or something else. As a social worker I will stand up for those people. I will stand up for EVERYONE. But today, some things made me think. About everything.

Today I got operated and I'm so grateful that it turned out perfect. When I was entering the hospital I saw a man sitting in a wheelchair outside, he didn't have legs and when I saw that a thought crossed my mind. It crossed my mind that I need to be grateful that I have both legs, both arms, both eyes, that I'm healthy in general actually. Sometimes we forget that there are people with other, more serious, problems and that we need to value the things that we often forget about.

Sure I post posts about a boy that I'm missing so much but because of the things I saw today, he didn't even occur in my mind. Than I thought about other things like my grades. I passed my first year at college with such amazing grades and the people at my internship gave me very good feedback. I'm also grateful for the amazing friends and family I have, they are honestly the best!

What I want to say is, look around you and count your blessings.
