The Billion Rebels

The sun's torture was harsh

So harsh that none could bear

At last they got a ray of hope

For their trusted saviors were here.

The wind spread the news,

That they were coming to save them

And to see their trusted saviors,

A crowd of more than thousand came.

Meanwhile the news somehow reached the sun

And he knew he had to do something,

After some thinking he heated up so much,

That not even a bird could sing.

His subjects pleaded for mercy, which

They got none, and they stopped pleading,

For after sometime, they well knew,

Soon, their saviors will be coming.

"Its time that we make a move

From now, no time can be lost,

The sun is gathering force

And this time should be utilized most."

This was the official speech of the chief

The one leading the trusted saviors

And on hearing it, everyone cheered,

And everyone could hear the clashing of armors.

The saviors formed an alliance,

Together with the wind and cloud,

And as they moved forward, they were cheered

With shouts of,"Make us all proud."

Overnight march they made to the battlefield,

But did not stat the war all at once

For the chief said,"To make the war fair

The sun must be given a chance."

The next day, the wind did blow

And the trees did bend down soon

As a human in front of God,

Seeking his long searched boon.

One could hear at a far off place,

A growling like enraged animals.

But it was no tiger nor lion,

It was the war cry of a billion rebels.

The wind turned into a gale,

And threatened to put out the sun's light,

But the sun was hardly affected,

And continued to shine consistently bright.

The carrier clouds then came forward

Showing by lightening their angers

And on their back rode in thousands,

The most trusted of all the saviors.

The subjects knew very well,

When the war had begun,

For they could not see the ruler,

And his torturers were all gone.

The bright light at once became dim,

And the sky that was so long dumb,

Was filled with sounds and roars,

And the subjects could just watch, as if numb.

The clouds knew what to do,

Half of them went to guard the sun,

While the chief gave the final roar,

And said,"lets show him what we can!"

So long, the sun was a silent listener,

Hearing everything the saviors said,

And then out of a rush of anger,

A sudden movement he made.

He ripped apart the covering clouds,

And showed his intentions clear,

And as the first savior fell,

One could see their mother's tear.

But then the covering clouds again,

Crawled back to do what they did

And again tried to hold back the sun,

But now the sun would no longer be hid.

The sun tore away at them,

The weakened covering clouds,

With all his might and anger,

And to all announced aloud:

"Whoever comes to stop me

Shall be destroyed thus!"

And after hearing the threatening,

There was a sudden deafening hush.

But the silence could never stay,

So long as to demoralize the soldiers,

At last the chief of the saviors shouted,

"Be not afraid, my warrior brothers!

For the sun speaks more than he does,

No more than some sort of bell.

Now let us fight iron with iron,

And let's just break loose hell!"

Now rejuvenated, the fight began anew

And now used the lightening,

As no weapon, but to scare,

The sun and his army by the flashing.

They even used the sun's power,

And used that against him!

With the high heat of the lightening,

Killed many, making the sun grim.

But even in times of this distress,

His subjects had never given up,

Even though more rebels started falling,

And their blood poured, as if form a tap.

The underworld had become darker

And the people prayed for bit of light,

While the others only wondered,

"What would be the result of the fight?"

A strange, hypnotizing smell!

Had now filled the world,

"Is it really happening?"

Asked the saviors who now lay curled.

What this it was, all knew

The sun was himself coming,

And as the subjects had seen,

He was known for his fighting.

At once, the saviors started falling

In thousands and not one by one,

And the rebels lost the battle

That they had almost half won

And not one was spared then,

The billion rebels lay like sand,

And the sun quietly returned,

To celebrate in a fashion grand.

When the sun went away,

Then like a phantom awakening,

The rebels quietly got up,

Actually they were reincarnating

Now with the help of lakes and rivers,

The billion now became trillions

With a might powerful enough

To get rid of a thousand suns.

They again reunited, called the cloud,

And having learnt from their mistakes,

They made a better war plan,

For they knew well, there are no retakes,

And there was another decision taken,

Much of a shock to my belief

The savior who had fallen first,

Was made the new chief.

Again they went against the sun,

And gave a war cry like enraged animals

But this time it was not a billion,

But the war cry of a trillion rebels...
