Bird in cage, I sit and stare
Nothing to hold me by,
But stuck in dream I can't rely,
And reality on the other side.
Bird in cage, I cry sometime
As my truth will never show.
I will bleed on, nothing to stop,
I will die everyday as I grow.
Bird in cage, I am not free,
Trapped I am inside.
But it's not the cage that holds me,
But my mind, on a different ride.
Bird in cage, I will lose my hope,
And I will burn myself to death.
Like every other story my soul will leave,
Unable to cross the gate.
Bird in cage, my mind will scream,
And I can hear my whispers say,
“This is heavy and I can't carry on
With this load of thousand, lay.”
Birds in cage, my hopes are lost,
I shall scream a last time.
My voice is sore, my heart beat slow,
My life will never rhyme.
