Every once a while, Mother Nature sends us a reminder
Sometimes as a blessing and sometimes as a misadventure
For we, humans, always take things for granted
Bringing out the evil inside our hearts that we planted.
We define nature as beauty, yet we encroach upon its elements
The ponds, lakes and trees, with all our arrogance
As fierce as she can be, she is also patient
Because Mother Nature believes in second chances.
We protect our relationships from all evil
But often we forget its very foundation
Loyalty and trust are no easier to gain
For without it our relationships become insane.
Yet we believe in second chances, like Mother Nature
And learn a damn good lesson with every failure
To take things for granted, we always knew
But to pay attention to details, was something new.
Do you know the postman, the milkman and the hawker?
You knew them once, but now they are mere stalkers
For when we are faced with difficult situations
That’s when we realize their true associations.
Sometimes as humans, we fail to comprehend
Our lives, the people and the countless blessings in hand
But ignore them and the little things in life shall perish
And so shall you, into thin air, with nothing to cherish.
