The ocean ,it seems strange today,
it seems to call but it only seems so..
The waves grow erratic and hit me wit a little more force than it should,
the foam popping to reveal the sand beneath
is all too much to understand that now I'm light headed,
a little dizzy trying to concentrate to write.
If only it would call with a little more passion with little more coax ,I'd probably go,
just leave every thing behind at the shore and go with the ocean, with it's tides.
It seems the realest to me at the moment,
every thing else is either in the past or the future...
What is this might that I feel in my chest?..
.If the ocean spoke a language that I'd understand, I'd probably fall in love with it and elope with it to make love to it in ways that cannot be explained.
Still its roar is true ,old and wise ,and me too immature to decode it,
the intensity so strong that it makes me feel and not express to the pin point accuracy and' I cannot fathom why'!
..'What is so true about you?' I ask it,
'even the sand beneath my feet slowly slips away and you try to reel me in,like you reel your clam and crayfish in" I say.
"You conveniently wipe away the foot prints left by glee children, elated lovers, defensive crabs and lost writers,
like memories happy or sad don't matter to you."I defend
"So I stand awkward in the waves soaking knee deep into the ocean,
while I write and relate and leave you with a memory like a secret between the two of us.
A secret that I tell you in the language that my kind has learnt and taught me,the language of poetry.
I somehow I feel that you'd understand this conversation if I were physically closer without making footprints to begin with...
yet you call out to me
yet you want me to love you
yet you want us to be one..
You use sunsets and it's exotic colours to convince me...
Only for me to reach the horizon to find the endless realms of horizons ...
Despite all this I helplessly love you.
And when the wind leaves a salty kisses on my lips, like a school girl I blindly belive that love is after all in the air!"
