Can I lay my head on your shoulder?

The falling star reminds me of you,
For it's falling hard and my tears too,
My emotions right now cannot subdue,
So darling,  let me scoot closer to you.

Oh my beloved,  embrace me tonight,
Sing a lullaby for me and hold me tight,
Let me hear a poem you can recite,
Oh please, just make me alright..

These are the things I want you to do,
But darling,  who am I for you?

So instead of demanding these things I whispered,

"Can I lay my head on your shoulder?
For this cold rooftop floor will make me shudder. "

A moment of silence after that,
You noticed me crying and so you nod,
You don't know how happy I am,
When you wiped my tears with your palm,
And as you place my head on your shoulder,
I felt the moon smiling wider,
The stars twinkled even faster,
The cold night getting warmer,
My soul flew higher,
And myself falling deeper.

Oh darling I know I won't be the only one in your heart,
Realizing this teared me and broke me apart,
But being here with you under the night full of stars,
Healed my mind and soul that's full of scars,
And laying my head on your shoulder,
Slowly fixed my heart that's shattered.
