Caught at Everything

An abyss has formed in her heart
She wanted to walk away and be at peace
Let the darkness swallow her whole
Yet she cannot go to where she may have her own abode of silence and grief

A hole has already been dug too deep
Inside her heart, this abyss has nothing else to give
She wanted to feel so much
Yet now, she ended feeling nothing, instead.

They walk from every direction
They don't see what seeing is for a word called faith
They may have notice yet they keep on walking
She wanted to scream
But what would that do, anyway?
What would that accomplish but misjudging stares from them.

She stood there with the abyss inside
Should she just let it out to the world,
Let it drown them all like the flood did when Noah built the Ark?
They passed by, some turned, some took on their own businesses, not caring to apologize to someone they pushed too hard to the ground
Did she felt the pain when she hit rock bottom now?
But was it really now or since the beginning of time.

Shrinking away,
Her heart started to decay,
With every breath she takes
They constricted her dry and pushed her to the brink
Damnation, is that what it's called?
Does her sins justify the abyss within?
Or the punishments they put her through without their own realization of how tainted they all are?
