Choked

As I close my eyes, breathing into the darkness
I invite you, My old acquaintance , to pull me through the heaving weight of the past's carcasses

My lips tremble, a drop of tear traces the path of my grief
Nothing escapes my widely parted lips apart from the echoes of sorrows that sits deep

Chaos is winding itself in my head like a coiling snake
I try to scream but I vaguely exhale

I shift a little on the bed of a million needles
Each piercing into the body but strangely it's the soul that bleeds

Every ounce of thought has transformed into a molten glass
That crawls over my neck & smothers me till the very last

But I have been blessed
Blessed with the stardust & the heaven where the magic rests

Another tear swells under my eye
It bids me farewell like a comet in the sky

Its trail consumes the fire inside me
Finally leaving me breathing in serenity
