Colourless Rainbow

08.30am:
At last.. The anticipation was over. The bus I've been waiting for, came with a handful of people and I smiled broadly showing all my 29 teeth as I got a window seat.
***************************
People are of 3 kinds,
1.Homebodies
2.Day trippers
3.Wanderlust

Homebodies - People who are bound to be in a circle either by their wish or reluctantly.
Day trippers - People who go on short trips as much as possible.
Wanderlust - People who 'LIVE'
****************************
I always wanted to 'Live' this life rather than merely existing. But I'm just another citizen who's monthly income restricts him to be a day tripper. If the time is 8, I would board in the 8th bus that comes to my sight, leaving all those 7 buses despite it being empty.. This is the 9th bus I saw since it's half past 8 and thus I boarded it.There wasn't much traffic since it was a weekend. I exhaled my stress and filled my lungs with some fresh air.

I tried to steal the bird's chirping from the air without the knowledge of the horn sounds. Unable to do so I was smiling at those little shrubs which nodded their heads at either sides of the road. I felt blissful and so I took my notepad and pencil and wrote,
       "Kisses do hurt
       When the lips part"
I've the habit of scribbling Haiku and making notes of things that are close to my heart. When I finished that two lined verse, my pencil fell down due to the sudden jerk made by a speed-breaker. I bent to pick that up and when I rose, I was blessed by a little hand from my front seat.. A 3 year old toddler looked at me and greeted me with a flawless smile which filled the gaps of her milk teeth. The young mother held her baby's hands and told her not to disturb me. With a smile, I acknowledged that the kid isn't a disturbance and convinced the mother to give her child to me.

The Kid sat on my lap and with a cute smile she started playing with my hair and grabbed my bushy beard. I was taken aback by the kid's activities. Usually every kid would get scared on seeing my beard but she was caressing it gently, giggling quite often. She kissed all over my face with her little fingers and those round black eyes stared into my Iris. She's still smiling. Her mom was happy to see her smile. I was pointing out to her a family of Raven which were busy searching their breakfast. The kid's smile gradually grew into  chuckles and I got even more enthusiastic. I then showed her a flock of feathered creatures migrating to some distant lands.. With her pitch black eyes she was keenly watching everything and after sometime she was denoting something outside the window, there was nothing but an open space. I was  puzzled and so I sharpened my sight to see what she was referring to..
But there wasn't anything..

The bus stop at which they had to get down was nearing .The mother, with a feeble smile got her child back from me and thanked me for being so patient with her kid. The baby was still pointing out at something outside the window with a broad smile.. I became mystified. The young lady smiled on seeing the place where her child's fingers spotted and then gazed into my eyes and said, "She's eyeless since her birth".

       "Thousands and thousands of colors
Yet her rainbow is colourless", screamed my notepad with the bruise made by my pencil..
The kid might have been pointing out to the uncommon species of birds fluttering in her dark world..
