Corporate Awards in Finance

The Finance Awards, otherwise known as the Salary Awards, is an annual award given by your organization to recognize professional financial achievement. The main function of the awards is to motivate and reward those who exhibit strong financial leadership skills. This recognition serves to encourage and increase the retention of top financial managers. The Finance Awards recognizes the outstanding financial career successes of leaders in the finance field across all disciplines of responsibility-from day one to retirement at full retirement age. While many organizations use the awards to reward and recognize achievements, they can also be quite useful for rewarding stellar employees who are doing exceptional work and deserve some form of incentive or advancement to keep them performing at that high level.

So what exactly is a Finance Award? The Awards programme is usually run by a Human Resources Management (HRM) executive and is comprised of a shortlist of the most senior executives in the finance organization. The shortlisted candidates are then assessed for their suitability for the award. Nominations for the awards usually come from a wide range of disciplines within the finance organization including: management, sales, marketing, accounting, research and development, and finance. When you run a Finance Awards program you will want to include candidates who have excelled in one or more of the above disciplines, or are particularly strong in at least two.

Why should you use the awards for finance? Often it's because you want to motivate and reward performance at the executive level that is outside the norm, but it can be a great way to reward exemplary performance by an individual research team, for example, or a group of researchers who are outstanding in developing new ideas or products for your business. These awards might be presented by your Finance Awards programme at an appropriate conference or seminar. They may also be included in a company newsletter, or even published online, which will help communicate your message about your company to a broader audience.

You don't need to run a separate award-giving function for each discipline; you can use one for all or several if you prefer. The general purpose of presenting awards is to reinforce good corporate governance at all levels, especially as it applies to credit insurers. It's important to consider all the reasons why people are hired, promoted or demoted in a given position, as well as the skills they bring to the role. People who manage and lead finance are particularly important because they have access to a critical mass of experience and skills that other employees don't have. If you think people are lacking in certain areas, you can't expect them to bring those skills to the table without some internal support, training and guidance.

So how should you select the right person to present a trophy for best corporate financial risk or best banking award? Start by looking at their qualifications and experience. Find out what industry groups they are affiliated with and what awards they have won. If they have previously received a corporate finance award or prize, find out where they qualified. If they are an independent senior banker, ask for their view on what the best awards in banking category are and what industry they specialize in.

Some of the best corporate and banking awards in Dubai are presented at the corporate level. These could be an individual award for outstanding contribution or a team award for outstanding performance. It could be presented by a bank manager or senior manager or by a senior manager of a bank. A qariat or ambassador is usually invited to sponsor such events, which is a great way to get your name known beyond your work environment.

Awards in banking are sometimes sponsored by one of the Asia Pacific's largest banking corporations, which can present both worldwide recognition as well local recognition. An example would be the Fujianese Small Business Association (FSA) and their "Best Corporate Risk" (WCRC). This is a WCRC that is administered by the FSA. Similar to the Qariat, this is also awarded by the Middle East Banking Association (MBA) and the United Kingdom's FSA. Both of these bodies have excellent track records when it comes to identifying those companies that present both the best banking and corporate opportunities in Asia Pacific.

A company that is presenting its best corporate opportunities in the region could also present the Best SBI (stocks in offshore banks) in Asia Pacific. As with the FinTech Awards, there are some specific criteria for such recognition. For instance, the best corporate risk and return criteria require a company to be over one decade old. If it is older than this then the company needs to explain why they were established and how they came to be. Both of these criteria are extremely important for any company presenting itself as a premier investment opportunity.
