Knowing in advance that you would hurt me
Being aware of your insincere attitude that would hurt me
Knowing clearly that you cannot reciprocate for my love
Mesmerized by your love for yourself
I stood there gazing at your inner YOU
Never noticing you ,noticing me
Letting loose my notions about you
Blindfolded by your 'love' for me
Letting me dissolve in you.
But, it was late when I realized you
When I realized and accepted the facts
That you can never understand love
That you saw my eyes, and never my heart
That you were fake
That you were not the one for me
That you could love no one but you.
You are unfit to realize the worth the love, that is always true
That binds souls, not bodies
That dwells only in pure and untainted hearts
Never in the ones tainted with specks of deceitfulness
Hypocrisy expunges love
Destroys faith.
Why do you do this?
Why ruin people's peace and serenity?
What do you gain?
But I have now learnt my lessons because of you
To live in a world of falsity
Among all those nasty, drama-loving people who know nothing but to pretend
Never allowing myself to change to bad, or dissolve in falsehood.
Never pretending,
For I know what it means to get hurt
For I know I have only me for MYSELF!
