Dear Readers,
Today the topic I want to enlighten in front of you all is about " the unknown bavery facts of our military".
We proud to be the citizen of our country, we love our country, we celebrate Independence day as well as Republic Day but ask yourself are you doing enough for your country? I am no one to judge you, we all are the same. I came to know about three lesser known facts about the bravery of our militants.
The first one happened before India got Independence, when 21 Sikhs defended a military post against 10000 Afgan invaders. At this period of time India was under the rule of Britisher's. These 21 Sikhs were placed in Saragarhi, Afghan look this as an opportunity and decided to capture Saragarhi. These 21 soldiers know there fate at the moment they came to know about attack, but they decided to defend before the military joined them. ( what I found interesting is that, see India was not independent at that time, we were under the rule only and if those Sikhs wants they could have just escape from there without even fighting, but they were not fighting for the rulers, they were fighting for "Bharat Mata" for the pride to die while serving your country). The walls and the gates was not much strong, but they keep the fight on and died, but they bring victory even after death. British Indian army joined them and recapture Saragarhi. They found 600 dead bodies, 21 were in military dresses and in that fight more than 4700 Afghan was injured. That's called bravery, " Jo bole sone haal, sat shri akal". These 21 brave soldiers were awarded by "Indian Order of Mint".
Member of British Parliament on 12 September 1987 rose to give standing ovation to these brave militants. British armed force in UK still commemorates " Saragarhi Day" every year.
The second incident I read is full of adventure and bravery too. When 3 India pilots performed a historic "Prison break from Pakistan".
During the war of 1971, 16 Indian Air Force pilots were taken as POW ( PRISONER OF WAR). One of them " Group Captain Dilip Parulkar" make the plan to escape, he inspire two more to be the part of the plan. MS Grewal and Barish Sinjhi, all three digged the whole and mange to escape from the jail. Now they have to struggle more for their freedom. They suffered a lot during there journey but they have one dream in there eyes, to breath in India again. Unfortunately they get caught 3 miles before there freedom and recaptured in the prision. But then something happened in there favor, on 01st December 1972, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave the order to release all the captive of POW and they came back home finally.
Third one is my favorite after reading you will came to know about the word "sacrifice".
When an Indian raw agent served as a major in the Pakistan Army. Ravindar Kaushik, he was the theater artist, creative man with good acting skills. He was appointed by the Raw after seeing his one of the play on which he acted as Indian officer and he refused to give any information about the country. He was appointed and grant him training for two years and flown to Pakistan. There he was gone with a different name and took admission in LLB, after graduation he applied for Pakistan army and get posted there and get promoted from time to time. He passed on many valunerable and secret information to Raw from time to time. He was somehow meant to live in Pakistan only for rest of his life, but everything doesn't go according to our plans. He get caught and get imprisonment for 18 years. He died before the imprisonment ends and buried behind mutan jail. He sacrifice his life as well as his family members. He managed to send some letters to India to his family and some of the letters said “Kya Bharat jaise bade desh ke liye kurbani dene waalon ko yahi milta hai?” (Is this the reward a person gets for sacrificing his life for India?)
Many questions are still unanswered.
This is my try to tell you all the untold facts which all should know.
Thanks for reading!
