Do you know the difference between Heartsaver Course and BLS Course?

Info

People sometimes wonder what the difference is between BLS (basic life support) for healthcare providers and Heartsaver (lay-responder) CPR certification classes. These sorts of CPR certification classes are offered by a variety of organizations. These professionals contribute to studies and research on the science and abilities required for emergency cardiovascular care, and they teach seminars all around the world. The BLS course is intended for healthcare practitioners, but anybody is free to enroll and finish it. Although there are no prerequisites, this course does not provide certification in basic first aid. To keep your certification, you must repeat the class every two years. You must successfully demonstrate the abilities you've acquired to the teacher and pass a multiple-choice exam to pass the class. The duration of the training is usually approximately of 4 hours.

Heartsaver course or lay responder training cover nearly all of the topics covered in a BLS course. You will not, however, learn about more advanced methods and barrier devices used by health care practitioners. This course is intended for those who are not in the health-care industry, including as babysitters, nannies, foster parents, and others who work in related fields. The Heartsaver Course will also educate you how to handle situations such as breathing problems, heart attacks, traumas, and unexpected illnesses until emergency medical help arrives. You'll also learn how to correctly utilize an AED while performing CPR. There is no written test to pass a Heartsaver course, but the skills taught in class must be demonstrated correctly to receive a certificate. The emphasis is on reacting outside of a healthcare system, as well as how to detect, respond to, and treat victims without the assistance of others. The duration of the training varies based on the agency and type of course you take, but this CPR course typically lasts around 3 hours. The BLS and Heartsaver certification cards are both valid for two years. Various reputable institutes as well as alternative suppliers offer either course. If you need a certification for work, it is essential to find out what the specific criteria are before enrolling in an institute.
