I know it’ll take me more than just a bottle of whiskey to drown you out of my system.
It’ll take me more than just a pack of cigarettes to burn out all the love inside of me for you.
It’ll take me more than just a handful of sedating pills to forget about you.
I know it’ll take me more than just one deep cut on my wrist to drain you out of my veins.
So, don’t let me go.
For it will take me more than years to scrub off the poetry that you’ve written on my skin.
More than years to replace every cell in my body that has been touched by you.
More than just one person to completely get you out of my mind.
More than just a box of puppies to cheer me up when I think about you.
Please don’t let me go.
For I don’t know how to be myself anymore without you.
