Knowing That It's Gonna Be The Last Time

Knowing that it's gonna be the last time I will ever feel the wind breeze against my then-warm skin, I closed my eyes and became one with it.
Knowing that it's gonna be the last time I will ever see trees again, I focused my then-watery eyes trying to visualize every micro-inch of it, down to its chlorophyll.
Knowing that it's gonna be the last time I'll ever hear my favorite song again, I tried to memorize it, down to the last coda.
Knowing that it's gonna be the last time that I'll ever talk to my friends, I inked their smiles on my mind. My body will forget but, my memories will live on.
Knowing that it's gonna be the last time I will
ever be with him, I made sure I tell him how much important he is to me and that I will always love him. I hope he doesn't stop himself from moving on. I'll be happy if he's happy.
Knowing that it's gonna be the last time I'll ever write again, I did not care if it doesn't rhyme, if it doesn't follow any rules. All I know is I poured the last bit of my heart and soul in every word that I'm writing down.
Knowing that it's gonna be the last time I'll ever be in this world, I tried to breathe it all in.
Not knowing that it's gonna be the last time that they will ever see me alive, I hope they'll remember my last moments with them.
