So I smile, with squinting eyes I laugh with all the jokes
I grin at all little acts of goodness
Children playing amuses me,
I enjoy everyone's company
You see me at a perfect bliss,
I am jolly, ecstatic and oh what else
From heat waves and winter storms,
everything sparks joy, everything seems fine
I am happy, I know that for sure
But why are there days,
Days like this I know you've experienced
Moments like this you never thought would come
I am happy, I truly am
But when I am alone and I close my eyes
Everything else seems heavy
Carrying a burden you don't know what is
I am happy but really though, am I?
