Fading dream

Slowly, my eyes are closing

Wobbly, my hands are shaking

Trying to keep on track

Too much pain to take

That voice inside my head

Do not reach out your hand

Your dream is too far

Just keep wishing on a star

You have tried once

And failed twice

Do not try again

Do not hurt yourself again

Dream, that is all you can do

You know it would not come true

Someday you will be gone

And your dream will be none

The voice of fear

Is stalking me everywhere

It is making me so blue

As tomorrow will never show

But in a life full of anxiety

Pulling me away from my destiny

There is a beating fact

Faster than my own heart

Those fears keep nagging in my ears

But I'm running straight ahead to my fading dreams

I see it fading away farther and farther

So I'm moving farther and farther

Just trying to breathe in

I still can dream on

It looks a bit far away

But nothing is guaranteed anyway
