I take the step, into the great fall
With a fading light winking at the end
But to my fear, it kept inching away
As I pushed myself in its way
The fear, blankness of mind
As I kept falling deeper in this unending void
This chasm of never ending sadness
This compression of nothingness
Placed me at the door of deepest sorrows
Where I could see all my nightmares in those threads
Mingling themselves together
Trailing me, to swallow in whole
I close my eyes; I just look for the fading light
Still at the farthest distance, I am losing my will
My will to stay & fight
But all is just a haphazard sight
But in my staggering hope
I finally find the greater good
With its luminous face
Like a million fireflies bottled in a tiny space
This fall had torn my limbs inch by inch
But gave me the present of wings.
