Farewell

The sun will yearn for him everyday,
For I'll no longer compare his smile to it,
It can shine from sunrise to sunset,
But he'll never be my garnet, no more.

The stars will miss him every night,
For I'll no longer compare his eyes to them,
They can fall, one by one,   beneath those heights,
But my wishes will never be about him.

Not anymore.

The moon will surely look for me behind those clouds,
So it could hear me talk about him again,
But it'll never happen,  not anymore.
For love is no longer there.

When I walk down the shore,
The ocean will listen to me,
But it'll never be about him anymore,
I'll still whisper but will never be like before.

I will close my eyes as the sky cries,
Hoping for him to come back at the bottom of my heart,
For it knows the rain reminds me so much about him,
But I'll just stand there hearing the sky weep,
The thunders booming for his name.

And so I said to them,

To the sun, to the stars,  to the moon,  to ocean,  to the sky.

And to the whole universe.

I loved him.

My feelings will forever stay where they belong—in my memories.

Beloved,  farewell.
