The fireworks in the night sky were like blotches of a rainbow after the storm that I thought was over. It was the 4th of July also known as Independence Day. The day my country, the U.S.A, was made independent. The fireworks shined like a million stars. Their glow as if calling my name.
"Erika!" My father called, telling me it was time to leave. "But the grand finally has just begun!" I called to my father in a sad voice. I had been waiting all night to see it and now my chance was gone like the the wind of a majestic pony running by. I did not want to leave my spot on the grass.
" I am not going anywhere until i see the Grand finally!" I told my father. Soon after i found myself being carried to the car by my father. I was not happy at all. I wanted to stay but i couldn't. I bit my father's arm and ran back to the spot in the grass i had been sitting before. He ran back to me. When he finally got me to the car he yelled at me, gave me a spanken and yelled at me some more on our way home. Something told me he was not happy either.
When we finally got home it was almost eleven o'clock so I climbed in bed and my dad tucked me in. "Goodnight Daddy." I said from room just a few rooms away. "Goodnight sweetie. Sleep tight don't let the bed bugs bite." Said my dad in his loud, clear, loving voice.
The next morning was a Sunday so it was time to go to church. I had not always enjoyed church so i would hang out in the basement with the little kids and help out. I always enjoy that no matter what mood I'm in. Sometimes i would draw pictures of animals for the children and other times I would catch them at the bottom of the little slide. They always always enjoy having me around whether I'm reading a book I brought or if I'm playing with the kids.
CHAPTER 2
church days
After church I would go to my friend Maci's house and we would play our instruments. I play a flute and Maci plays a clarinet. We would always start out by playing our scale. Then we would play some songs for our parents in basement. We play in the basement because there is an echo that makes us sound better. The parents would clap at the end of every song even if we messed up a lot. When it was time to go home I would pack up mu flute and my other materials and get in the car.
At home i would run around the trailer park and play with my buddies. Sometimes i would play kickball with Alex, his brothers Peter and Zak, Alan, Dylan, Kristen, and her little brother Michael but we call him Jr. for short. other times I would play bae blades with my friend Jamie. But most the time i would be playing with my friend Mackenzie, her step sister Alyssa and Alyssa's older sister Katy. That's pretty much all I do while I'm at home, but it's fun!

So that is basically my whole week not just Monday. It can be fun sometimes but Tuesday I was not feeling it. It was the day of my flute test. I had to play a five note scale, show the teacher my flautist posture and hand position and I had to play Cuckoo and since I am a beginner Cuckoo was the hardest thing I had ever played. The most points I could get was a 24. I got 20 out of 24. The 4 points I didn't get were the points I would have got if I had actually practiced Cuckoo. Although I could have got a bonus point for playing the scale from memory. But I couldn't remember how to do the scale so I ended up using the sheet I had with scale on it to help remember. However when I got home my dad had to sign my score sheet. He was not happy with my scores. Afterward my father had this big talk with me about having to practice EVERY DAY. After that I didn't want to do band anymore but I had signed a contract saying I had to stay in band for the rest of the band. I was not very happy about that.
That Tuesday was also taco Tuesday. it had been a day planned by one of my other friends mom. I was excited because I LOVE tacos. they were my favorite food next in line after pizza and hamburgers.
