"What can a Crush do to you?" is one of the questions in the mind of people who have not had a serious crush on anybody. A crush is like a stroke, or a like someone struck you with a taser gun. It is instantaneous, causes a sweeping increase in heartbeat and flushes your memory and makes your stomach sick. But the pro side of a "Crush" which cannot be availed on a Stroke or a Taser, is that you are the happiest person on earth for that one moment. This is a story of a first crush and what it may do and how it would unravel.
In a crowded auditorium, filled with at least 100 students the boy, lets call him 'A', spotted the girl, lets name her 'M'. A saw her for the first time. It surprised him because he had been studying in the same school for over 9 years now and he spotted her only today. The minute he saw her, he felt like he was punched on his ribs. He saw her eye to eye. He could see that she had a dark brown eyes despite the spectacles. She had a dimple when she smiled, She was wearing glasses with black square frames. To him, at that moment, she was an angel (without wings). He was swept off his feet by her. the minute she said "Hey!", he slipped into comatose. She was taller than him. "She is too white to be Indian", was all he could think of.
4 months after they first met, A and M became great friends. But their friendship was about to meet an uncertain and untimely doom
G was one of A's friends. He was more of a mutual friend of both A and M. G did the most foolish thing a friend could do. He slipped, unknowingly or with a vile intention (nobody but him knows), the news that A was having a serious crush on M. The worst part of slipping that news was that, M heard it. She confronted A and he could not lie to the girl he likes so much. She declined, rejected him. A went into override. He started being somber and sad about all the things happening around him. He felt bad and ridiculous and angry. He had killed a friendship because of his foolish intentions to be with her for the rest of his life. M and A stopped talking..... For 3 years. They stayed away, far from each other. Just a smile was all they shared for that time period.
After 3 years, A called her. they talked... For an hour.... Just like old times. Now A and M are great friends. But part of A still wishes that he had not had a crush on her. While another part wishes he had held onto her. But all that is known is, A and M crush story is the definition of what a Crush can do. There are many other stories out there but not all have negative endings. Some end positively.
