This crisis has only made me realize other people's true colours. It's very easy to act like a good Samaritan online, but the real world is totally different.
People talk of great things like doing charity, but they won't help their next door neighbour. Not many take into account of the fact that "Charity begins at home". Neither does a pandemic change people nor a problem in your personal life. The ones who ignored you when things were normal are still ignoring, the ones who put up a show of being there have suddenly disappeared. Everyone has a phone right next to them, but no one even thinks of making a phone call or checking up on you via text. This is a world where majority of them are selfish and jealous.
For most of them this quarantine is like a mini vacation, cooking up great complex meals like its a normal day, stocking up on more than their own share of essential goods leaving none for others. Why are people still acting like they own the Earth?
At least now people should understand there is something bigger than you and you really don't own or have control on anything. What are people even getting by being greedy? Till you have time on your hands, be selfless and good to others, make someone else happy for a change. Live sometimes for others.
