Musing on Life

We as humans always seem to be in the quest of achieving something large in life. But when we finally reach our destination it barely makes a difference to us.

We often aspire about buying a house, getting a job in that dream company, marrying the love of our life. But when that is finally attainable it no longer feels special. It just blends in and becomes part of our everyday life like it always existed. 

Soon we move on and find something else in life that we want to attain. In the bargain we forget to cherish the things that we had and the things we used to dream of having that we achieved after all the hard work.

Maybe that's why we never seem to be happy. We haven't understood what we need to value, what we need to ignore and how we must stop comparing ourselves with someone else's social media presence. Rather we must assess our lives from time to time, be proud of ourself and give ourselves credit for the things we have achieved. Everything else is just white noise.
